PPC Director, Paid Media

Job Description

In this role you will handle the day-to-day management of multiple paid search, paid social, comparison shopping engine and display accounts using a combination of native ad platforms, software tools, and scripts. Initially, you will be responsible for developing and implementing PPC strategies, managing budgets and bids, optimizing account configurations and targeting, and client reporting. As we scale, you’ll be responsible for overseeing junior members of the paid media team and putting processes in place. You will also heavily support sales by jumping on calls and doing audits/opportunity analysis for new prospects, a roll-up-your-sleeves kind-of guy or gal.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead client PPC strategy. This entails planning and managing campaign performance, account setup, strategy development, management, budget allocation, optimization and audits
  • Oversee Pareto PPC junior team members assigned to your client accounts, which will include monitoring ongoing optimization efforts to meet campaign objectives, such as daily management of campaign budgets, on-site conversion actions, bid management, negative keywords, website and category exclusions, ad creative, and landing page revisions based on performance targets and client objectives.
  • Spearhead all client communications, including (but not limited to): client emails, client calls, in-person meetings and Loom videos
  • Manage all client recurring client deliverables/projects and ad hoc requests using project management software (Asana)
  • Regularly reflect on new lead/revenue/conversion opportunities for your respective clients (and present/proceed with the ideas that have the highest probability of success)
  • Deliver monthly reporting findings, insights and recommendations/next steps to each client via monthly Loom video presentation
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness and the initiative to lead advanced projects
  • Forecast, plan, and work towards achieving account growth objectives
  • Provide opportunity analysis and support sales efforts for all new prospective clients

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university
  • Google AdWords Certification
  • Bing Ads Accreditation
  • Strong knowledge of Adwords Display, Search, Bing, Yahoo, Facebook, Instagram & Retargeting Advertising
  • Google Analytics Individual Qualification
  • Amazon PPC and Seller Central experience a plus 
  • At least 4 years’ experience in the digital advertising and/or paid search industry
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and project management
  • Demonstrated strong performance in prior roles, with increasing levels of responsibilities
  • Ability to be an advanced technical/discipline leader, and manage client communication without requiring involvement from an account manager
  • Must be able to analyze paid search and analytics data and make specific recommendations supported by metrics
